Caring for socks - how to wash socks?

Caring for socks is actually easy. Make sure that if possible and with a particularly exclusive pair of socks that you want to keep and wear for a long time, wash the socks by hand with warm water up to 30 degrees. Usually, however, this is not possible and cannot be done. Then put the socks in the washing machine at a temperature of 30 degrees.

In the case of sheer polyamide socks, you can put them in an extra laundry bag. Make sure there are no items in the washing machine with velcro closures and sharp details. In order for the washing machine not to eat the socks, you can also tie the socks from the lower part, so it is sure that the same number of socks that you put in will come out as well. Do not put socks with rhinestones and other exclusive decorations into the washing machine. Also wash the merino wool and alpaca wool socks with a gentle program and let them dry evenly afterwards. There is a risk of the socks to shrink several numbers smaller if you wash them at too high a temperature.

How to choose the correct sock size?

Generally women’s socks are available in the size 36-40. This means that if your foot number is in this range, the pair of socks is ideal for you. Depending on the model, a pair of socks may also be suitable if you wear a size such as 41. If you have wide feet and it is difficult to choose the size of the socks, choose the size 40-45. However, if you get a pair of socks as a gift that looks too big at first glance, wash the pair of socks through with 30 degrees of water and allow to dry.
